Productivity is a trait that drives us towards our goals. Low productivity levels cause us to conform and operate in our comfort zone.
But we can consciously increase our productivity by observing our behavior and changing some of the negative habits.
1)Plenty of sleep & wake up early
Study shows that the brain is the most productive early in the morning. It requires at least 7 hours of sleep so grab your coffee and increase your productivity as soon as you wake up.
This is the best time to get your homework, job and chores out of the way.
Your brain will absorb and store the most information when it is fully recovered, so try to get things that require brainpower out of the way first.
2)Set goals and deadlines
Every person should always have something they work towards, whether it’s school, a project, volunteering, anything. Increase your productivity by waking up with passion and you will always have the energy to succeed.
Have an ambitious goal and really work towards it. Put a reasonable time limit on each task to ensure you are keeping up with it.
3)Tell others
There is nothing more motivational than your friends and family supporting you.
Whether it’s through encouragement for keeping up with the good work or by nagging you for falling behind on the project. Either way, your productivity levels should increase because you don’t want to disappoint others.
4)Reward progress and take breaks
Upon successfully completing a task, reward yourself and go out with friends to loosen up. Do whatever it takes to get your mind off the present issue. Trust me! Your productivity will escalate and so will the desire to work towards your goal.
5)Don’t procrastinate
Increase productivity by getting rid of all distractions, such as phones, social media, etc. It’s fine to listen to music if it relaxes you, as long as you don’t get distracted.
6)Care for your mind and body
Eat greens, drink plenty of fluid and exercise for at least 30 minutes 5 days a week. Exercises release endorphins which makes us feel better, and feeling better boosts productivity.
Meditating twice a day for 10 minutes can relieve stress and also make us more productive.
7)Be open-minded
Don’t be afraid to try new things. Be prepared to take risks even if you could fail – you never know, it might even work.
8)Stay positive
No matter how bad things seem, you have to stay positive and cut out the negative emotions.
They are of no use to you. Make the best out of your day from the moment you get out of bed until you fall asleep. Being happy is the root cause of productivity.
8)Improve yourself
Identify your weaknesses and work towards becoming the best version of yourself. When you are happy with yourself, your productivity increases and you begin to influence others.
